The process

From inquiry to keepsake.

A session is a small, unhurried thing — but a few quiet steps run behind it. Here is what to expect from the moment you write, to the day your gallery arrives in your inbox.

  1. 01

    You reach out

Tell me about your dog through the booking form — their name, their nature, the kind of light you imagine. I read every message myself, usually within a day or two unless I'm deep in the field.

  2. 02

    We plan the day

A short conversation over email about timing, location, and what matters most to you. I'll suggest places on the island that suit your dog's personality — quiet forests for thoughtful souls, open beaches for runners, soft meadows for puppies and seniors.

  3. 03

    The session

We meet at the chosen place, often near sunrise or in the last hour before sunset, when the light is at its kindest. I move slowly. Your dog forgets I'm there. You walk, throw a ball, sit in the grass — and I wait for the moments that tell the truth.

  4. 04

    Hand editing

Over the following two to three weeks, I work through every frame and edit your final images with the same care I bring to a wildlife portfolio. Color, light, presence — never filters, never AI.

  5. 05

    Your private gallery

You'll receive a password-protected online gallery — beautifully presented, mobile-friendly, easy to share with family. Inside, you can favorite images, download full-resolution files, and order fine art prints if you wish. The gallery stays live for one full year.

A few honest notes

  • · Sessions in Victoria are seasonal. If I'm away, you'll join a small waitlist and I'll reach out as soon as I return.
  • · Weather rarely cancels a session — soft grey skies often make the most poetic images. We only reschedule for heavy rain.
  • · A 30% deposit secures your date. The remainder is due before the gallery is delivered.
  • · Your full-resolution files are yours forever. Print them, share them, hold them close.
